Jockey Club Venado Tuerto

Jockey Club Venado Tuerto is an 18-hole course built in 1992 around the historic grounds of Estancia La Cheltonia, in Santa Fe Province, Argentina. The designers shaped the natural terrain into hollows, mounds, canals, and lakes to create a demanding yet entertaining layout that rewards both strategy and precision. At 7,000 yards, the course plays to a par 72 for men and 73 for women. Wide tees offer multiple starting options, while undulating fairways and cross bunkers demand careful shot selection. The greens are generous in size, with gentle contours and multiple pin positions. Standout holes include the short but exacting par-3 6th, where a frontal lake, a bunker, and a grass hazard front and back of the green leave little margin for error. The par-5 12th features a double dogleg leading to a green guarded by a lake, a large mulberry tree, a bunker, and a grass hazard — one of the more strategically interesting finishes on the course.
