Intimidator Golf Course

Intimidator Golf Course is a public 9-hole layout tucked into the woods of Barton Township, within the Huron-Manistee National Forest in western Michigan. Opened in 2003, the course was carved from 60 acres of ancient hills by Mark and Tracy Lenahan, who began construction in 1998. The name pays tribute to Dale Earnhardt Senior and reflects Mark Lenahan's intention to build something genuinely challenging. Despite its remote setting — locals famously questioned the project at the outset — the course has earned a loyal following among area golfers. Designed to test skilled players while remaining engaging for all abilities, Intimidator delivers a demanding round in a natural, wildlife-rich woodland setting.
