Hole 7 at Hurricane Creek Country Club replicates a pot bunker with a stacked sod wall built in the Scottish tradition — one of several details that set this private 18-hole course in Anna, Texas apart. Designed by Beau Welling Design and opened in 1968, the layout moves across rolling hills past tranquil lakes, a creek, pecan trees, and native grasses, with Bentgrass greens, fairway bunkers, greenside bunkers, and mounds shaping each hole. Hole 3 plays downhill to a shallow green measuring just 15 paces from front to back, and hole 11 is home to one of the largest trees in the state of Texas. A short game facility and a professional staff of four PGA members support practice, with Trackman and V1 swing software available for instruction. The Founders Sixty-8 Bar & Grill sits atop the 18th green and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bar items from a fully stocked bar.
