Hurdwick Golf Course

Hurdwick Golf Course sits on 63 acres of well-drained parkland just one mile outside Tavistock, Devon, offering 360-degree views across Dartmoor, Bodmin, and the surrounding countryside. Designed in 1989 by Hawtree and Sons, the 18-hole layout stretches 5,335 yards and welcomes golfers of all abilities. The course weaves through hedges, water hazards, thick fir trees, and a natural quarry, with bunkers placed throughout to test the short game. The greens are kept fast, adding another layer of challenge from approach to putt. Standout holes include the par-5 3rd, measuring around 600 yards to reward longer hitters, and the 17th, which demands an accurate drive through thick hedges followed by a 180-yard carry to clear more of the same.
