Houghwood Golf Club

Set among rolling, tree-lined fairways in Billinge, England, Houghwood Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course that opened in 1996 and holds SafeGolf accreditation. The layout features large greens throughout, and the opening hole sets the tone early with an elevated tee looking down a sloping fairway, a large swale protecting the front and right of the green. Practice facilities are thorough: a fairway-style driving range positioned between the 1st and 3rd holes, a spacious nine-hole putting green maintained to match course conditions, and a chipping green for different lies and bunker shots. The course operates on a semi-private basis and is rated 4.7 by 100+ Hole19 golfers. The clubhouse includes Spikes Bar & Restaurant, which serves food and drinks daily from 9.30am with a covered outside patio overlooking the course. The Restaurant on the first floor offers refined dining Thursday to Sunday with views across the course and the North West coast. The Pro Shop stocks Castore, Under Armour, and Adidas as part of the Foremost buying group.
