Horseshoe Bay Resort (Slick Rock) is an 18-hole layout in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, built in 1971 and designed around Robert Trent Jones, Sr.'s philosophy of "hard par, easy bogey." The course features multiple tees on every hole, more than 71 sand traps, and 12 water hazards — a combination that rewards smart course management over aggression. Slick Rock Creek runs through the property, feeding directly into the course's most talked-about feature. Hole 14, known as the "Million Dollar Hole," includes a cart path that passes through a waterfall stretching more than 35 yards. That waterfall empties over 8,000 gallons of water per minute into Slick Rock Creek, making the journey to the tee box an experience in itself.
