Hiroshima Country Club Saijo

Hiroshima Country Club Saijo is an 18-hole hillside and woodland course set in a basin at 290 metres above sea level in Higashihiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture. The elevation keeps conditions pleasantly cool in summer, giving the round a highland feel. The front nine opens up with wide fairways and few out-of-bounds hazards. Pine trees serve as useful aiming points off the tee, making it relatively straightforward to plot your way around — though cross bunkers demand attention and can punish an overly aggressive approach. The back nine tightens considerably. Pine forest lines both sides of the fairways, creating a narrower corridor that calls for more precise ball-striking and careful course management.
