Hidden Valley Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole course in Wallan, Victoria, built on the grounds of the former Heytesbury Stud — once owned by West Australian billionaire Robert Holmes a Court. After his passing, the property was purchased in 1997 by a consortium that established Hidden Valley Australia Pty Ltd. The course sits just south of the Great Dividing Range, where fog regularly settles in the valley each morning, often not lifting until the afternoon. That atmospheric challenge is compounded by an abundance of water hazards, including double water carries on both the 13th and 15th holes. James RussellJanuary 06, 2025Played off the back pigs, this is a very seriously long golf course. The back line is certainly the superior of the two9s. Holes 13 through 15 are very challenging with water, then 17 is like a mini Augusta 18th at 414 m four and the 18th is something out of Florida or Sawgrass firing the path three over the water into an island. Green surrounded by water. At $40 it’s exceptional value I do think from an aesthetic perspective growling frog is a more attractive course.
