Hamilton Golf & Country Club

Hamilton Golf & Country Club has hosted the Canadian Open Championship five times — most recently in 2024 — making it one of the most frequently used Canadian Open venues in the tournament's history. Designed by Harry Colt and opened in 1916, the private parkland layout in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada spreads across 27 holes of rolling land cut through by valleys and a meandering stream. The West course's hole 3 plunges into one of those valleys, with the stream winding through the line of play. The South course's hole 9, part of Colt's original nine, carries a dramatic design that has held up across more than a century of play. Beyond the Canadian Open, the club has hosted the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship six times, multiple editions of the Canadian Ladies' Amateur Championship, the Willingdon Cup, and the Canadian PGA Championship. Golf Digest named the course Best New Restoration for 2022.
