Description
Griffith Park Golf Club (Harding) is a historic 18-hole municipal course in Los Angeles, California, with roots stretching back to August 1923. Designed by George C. Thomas and later modified by William P. Bell and William Johnson, it was the first all-grass course at Griffith Park, originally known as Municipal #2 or the Riverside course. The course was renamed the Warren G. Harding Memorial Golf Course in 1924, starting a tradition of naming Griffith Park layouts after American Presidents. It hosted the L.A. City Championships in 1923 and co-hosted the Los Angeles Open from 1936 to 1938 alongside the Wilson Golf Course. Harding is one of the most-played courses in California on Hole19, where it carries an average rating of 4.2 from over 100 golfer reviews.
