Green Meadow Country Club

Green Meadow Country Club, founded in 1925 in Alcoa, Tennessee, has a history rooted in the early ambitions of Alcoa Inc., which purchased the land that year. The course opened as a nine-hole layout on what is now the front nine, with the back nine added in the 1950s to bring the course to its current 18-hole configuration. The front nine underwent significant renovation in the early 1990s, including a full rebuild of its greens — work that shaped the playing surfaces golfers encounter today. That combination of a mid-century back nine and a modernized front gives the course a layered character, with greens that reflect the standards of a deliberate restoration rather than the original 1925 design.
