Gordon Trent Golf Club

Gordon Trent Golf Club has been a fixture of Patrick County, Virginia since the early 1960s, when brothers Fonrose (Frank) and Floyd Trent built the course from the ground up. For 45 years it stood as the only course in the county, and in April 2012 it marked its 50th anniversary. Situated at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the club sits 14 miles west of Martinsville and 10 miles east of Stuart. The 18-hole layout winds through gentle rolling hills, incorporating lakes and creeks throughout, with bent grass putting surfaces across every green. The course remains family-owned, now in the hands of the founders' children, grandchildren, and youngest brother. That family commitment, paired with a dedicated staff, keeps the course improving year on year — and gives Gordon Trent Golf Club the welcoming feel of a place golfers can call home.
