Golfclub Frühling

Golfclub Frühling, in Lower Austria, Austria, is a 36-hole semi-private course designed by Gerhard Frühling. Voted the best new spot in 2011, it is rated 4.5 by 100+ Hole19 golfers and ranks as one of the most-played courses in Lower Austria on Hole19. The layout incorporates water hazards, ponds, bunkers, doglegs, island greens, and grass mounds. Hole 4 features a moat-like bunker requiring a 160-metre carry to reach the green. A pond snakes close to the green on hole 8, and hole 9 is the most difficult on the course, demanding a lay-up. Hole 17 is a 614-metre double dogleg — Austria's only Par 6, known as the Spring Monster. Hole 18 plays to an island green. Practice facilities include a driving range with 32 grass and 8 mat bays at no charge, a putting green, a pitching and chipping area, and a golf school offering programs from taster courses to tournament license. The pro shop stocks golf gloves and equipment.
