Golf Santander

Golf Santander sits within the rolling grounds surrounding Banco Santander's headquarters in Boadilla del Monte, just 16 km from the centre of Madrid. Designed by American architect Rees Jones, the course was built on land previously degraded and returned to nature through the project. The 18-hole layout plays to a par 72 and stretches to nearly 7,000 metres from the back tees, making it one of the longest courses in the world. Rees Jones himself describes it as rigorous yet honest and noble. The challenge comes largely from 68 bunkers and a series of strategically placed lakes and water channels that demand precision throughout the round. From the forward tees the course measures around 4,888 metres, offering a more accessible experience without losing its character.
