Golf La Rochelle Sud (L'otus), located in La Jarne in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France, holds a notable distinction as the first 18-hole compact course in the country. It was inaugurated on 10 June 2022 by Pascal Grizot, President of the French Golf Federation, and Sylvianne Villaudière, Vice-President for ecological transition and godmother of the course. Named L'Otus after the stream that runs through it, the course is made up entirely of par 3 holes. Players can choose between the compact format, with distances ranging from 60 to 150 metres, or a Pitch & Putt option using dedicated tees. It offers an accessible and flexible experience for golfers of varying levels.
