Golf International de Montgenèvre

Golf International de Montgenèvre is a 27-hole facility in Montgenèvre, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France, made up of a 9-hole full-length course, a 9-hole compact course, and a practice area. What sets it apart is a partnership with the neighbouring Italian club of Clavière, a private 9-hole course built in 1936. Together, the two clubs offer a unique franco-Italian 18-hole experience that crosses the border at hole 7 on the way out and hole 16 on the way back. Montgenèvre itself was built in 1988, and the contrast in eras and design philosophies means the combined round calls on a wide variety of shots. The arrangement gives golfers access to two architecturally distinct layouts within a single mountain setting, making it one of the more unusual golfing experiences available in the Alps.
