Golf Club Prunevelle

Golf Club Prunevelle is an 18-hole course located in Dampierre-sur-le-Doubs, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France, and a popular round among Hole19 golfers in the area. The club has deep roots in the region. Prunevelle is a locality straddling the communes of Dampierre-sur-le-Doubs and Berche, in the canton of Pont-de-Roide and the arrondissement of Montbéliard. It was here, in 1928, that a group of friends — among them Jean-Pierre Peugeot, Raymond Japy, Pierre Koechlin, Maurice de Turckheim, and Bernard Thierry-Mieg — set out to create a golf club. The following year was devoted to acquiring the land needed for an initial 9-hole layout. The scale of that task was considerable: the project involved 283 separate parcels of land spread across a large number of different owners.
