Golf Club La Rioja

Golf Club La Rioja sits on the outskirts of the city of La Rioja, capital of La Rioja Province in Argentina. The 18-hole layout was designed to USGA standards by professional Diego Caprile across 72 hectares, of which 32 are dedicated to fairways, 1.5 to greens, and the remainder is native woodland. The course winds through indigenous flora and fauna — cardón cacti, algarrobo trees, foxes, and lizards are all part of the round. The surrounding hills frame the layout, with the landmark Velasco peak a constant presence on the horizon and condors occasionally overhead. Maintenance standards are a point of pride here. The course is kept in immaculate condition year-round, and first-time visitors frequently express surprise at the quality of the presentation they find waiting for them.
