Description
Set in Oadby, England, Glen Gorse Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course that opened in 1933. The layout moves through established woodlands and tree-lined vistas, with strategically placed water features and areas of dense woodland shaping play throughout the round. The course is semi-private, and a Ladies Academy with coaching is available on site. The clubhouse restaurant is open all week, with Sunday Lunches available to members and visitors; during the winter season, food is served from 11:00am to 14:30pm on Sundays and Mondays, and up to 15:30pm Tuesday through Saturday. The bar serves draught beers, speciality house wines, hot and soft drinks, and quick snacks daily, with free wi-fi access. The fully air-conditioned clubhouse is also available for private function hire.

Old NubianApril 26, 2023Challenging course that makes you think. The greens need some TLC in order to makes this course great.
Niall KellyDecember 01, 2016Played on winter greens which like concrete on a very frosty morning. The normal greens looked great and can't wait to play when the course is fully open. I did see enough to make me think this would be very nice in better conditions. Fairly tight fairways on most holes. Trees line nearly all fairways and mean a tricky second through or over trees if your tee shot strays. Plenty of bunkers protecting most greens which appear large mostly. There wasn't one stand out hole for me but that may change when I play the full course on my return. The shop pro was very helpful and friendly as well. That's a big draw to a course for me.
