Gibson Bay Golf Course

Gibson Bay Golf Course is one of the most-played courses in Kentucky on Hole19, and it earns that reputation. Designed by Michael Hurdzan and opened in 1993, this 18-hole, par 72 layout stretches to 7,100 yards along Richmond's 450-acre Lake Reba recreational complex. Golf Digest recognized it as an honorable mention for best new public golf course in the United States. Up to five tee boxes per hole make Gibson Bay accessible to players of all skill levels, while bentgrass tees, fairways, and greens keep playing conditions consistent throughout. The course plays long and open, leaving shots exposed to wind. Fairways are forgiving off the tee, but missed drives tend to leave side-hill lies and awkward approaches. Greens are set into hillsides and guarded by well-placed bunkers and mounding, rewarding accurate iron play.
