Description
Gassan Legacy Golf Club, located near Ban Thi in Lamphun, Thailand, is an 18-hole course with an interesting history. Originally known as Gassan Lake City Golf Club, it closed in 2013 for a full renovation by US design firm Schmidt-Curley before reopening in late 2014 under its current name. The redesign focused on new turf, improved drainage, and reworked greenside hazards. Water hazards and forced carries appear throughout the layout, making accuracy a greater asset than distance. From the white tees the course plays to 5,967 yards, but stretches to a demanding 6,852 yards from the tips. Gently rolling fairways and mature trees define the character of the course. Most holes offer multiple routes to the green — aggressive lines for accomplished players and sensible layup options for those who prefer to manage risk.

Derrick HendersonFebruary 14, 2025There are no practice putting greens, and the caddies are of no use. The driving range is an area where you hit balls into a lake, and it only has a 50 yard marker floating in the water, so you have to guess the rest.
