Description
G7 Country Club is an 18-hole hillside course in Nasukarasuyama, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, designed under the supervision of professional golfer Aoki Isao around the themes of flowers, water, and greenery. The layout is largely flat and has previously hosted the Japan Women's Professional Golf Championship. Water is a constant strategic factor — ponds cover roughly 10% of the total course area and are distributed throughout. Fairways are generously wide, giving players room to swing freely off the tee, but a clear attack route is essential before approaching each hole. Standout holes include the island-green par-threes at the 8th and 11th, and the beach bunkers framing the 7th and 10th. Coconut palms and windmill palms planted across the grounds lend a resort-like atmosphere. The large bentgrass single greens feature pronounced undulation and some two-tier sections. Depending on pin position, three-putts are a real risk, making the short game a decisive factor in scoring.
