Frilford Heath Golf Club (Green) is an 18-hole layout in England with an interesting history behind it — nine holes designed by the club's first professional, JH Turner, combined with nine post-war holes by respected British architect CK Cotton, whose credits include Ganton and Pennard. At 6,015 yards with a par of 69, the Green course is short by modern standards, but its single par five means playing to handicap is tougher than it looks. Four par threes stand out, including the picturesque second and sixth, plus the seventeenth at 206 yards — the longest short hole across any of the Frilford courses. The loop from holes five to thirteen sits apart from the rest of the property, with gorse and birch giving it a lively, peaceful character. The homeward stretch features several demanding par fours, though the 298-yard closing hole offers a chance of a satisfying finish.
