Flint Hills National Golf Club

Multiple USGA championships have been played at Flint Hills National Golf Club, a private 18-hole course in Andover, Kansas, designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 1997. The club has hosted the Trans-Miss Amateur Championships (2003, 2009, 2015, and 2024), the USGA Women's Amateur Championship (2001), the USGA Men's Senior Amateur Championship (2007), and the USGA Junior Amateur Championship (2017). Hole 12 is noted as Fazio's best creation on the property, featuring a very large green with tiered putting surfaces. Hole 9, the hardest on the front nine, plays to a well-protected green flanked by water and sand on the left and English Oak Trees on the right. The practice facility covers 31 acres and includes a 386-yard practice hole, Bermuda tees for iron work, Zoysia tees for woods, 15 bunkers, nine bentgrass target greens, and approximately 900 trees. Instruction is available privately or in groups through Studio D, an indoor facility with a simulator and high-speed cameras. The log cabin lodge serves a scratch-made menu, and the pro shop carries merchandise from premier brands.
