Firethorn Golf Club (Championship)

Firethorn Golf Club (Championship) is a private 18-hole course in Nebraska, United States, designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1986. Pete Dye himself singled out holes 11 through 14, calling them "the best consecutive four holes I've ever designed" — a rare self-assessment from one of golf's most recognized architects. The course has hosted the 1996 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, the NCAA Division III Men's National Championship, the Women's Western Amateur Championship, the 2002 Women's Trans-National Championship, and multiple Nebraska State Amateur and Men's State Match Play championships. Practice facilities include a grass driving range measuring over 100 yards wide, separately positioned chipping and putting greens, a dedicated short-game area with greens and targets, and instruction from a PGA Director of Instruction. The clubhouse restaurant, ROOM86, has an upscale contemporary feel with a panoramic view of the 18th hole. Additional dining includes hEAT, a family-friendly restaurant with upscale pub cuisine, and Dive Bar, a poolside dining experience. Firethorn Golf Club (Championship) is one of the most-played courses in Nebraska on Hole19.
