Description
Ferndown Golf Club (Alliss) is a 9-hole course in Ferndown, Dorset, that can also be played as a full 18-hole round. Originally constructed in 1969 as the Presidents Course, it was designed by J Hamilton Stutt — a founder member and past Chairman of the British Association of Golf Course Architects, who had previously worked alongside Mackenzie Ross on courses including Turnberry's Ailsa Course and St Mellion. In September 2015 the course was renamed the Alliss Course in recognition of the club's long association with the Alliss family.
