Edese Golf Club Papendal

Edese Golf Club Papendal is an 18-hole heathland course set in the dry glacial ridge landscape of the Veluwezoom, one of the Netherlands' finest nature areas. The terrain features fescue rough combined with heather vegetation and a varied mix of solitary and grouped trees and shrubs, with elevation changes that are rare by Dutch standards and deliver broad views over the surrounding forests. There are no water hazards on the course. Instead, more than sixty bunkers have been built to keep play honest, and the heathland rough — at its most demanding in season — rewards precise shot-making throughout the round. The first nine holes were designed by Frank Pennink in 1984, with Joan Dudok van Heel adding the back nine in 1992. A major renovation took place between 2005 and 2008, and since 2013 Michiel van der Vaart of Jol Golf Design has advised on course changes and improvements.
