Echizen Country Club

Echizen Country Club is an 18-hole hillside course in Awara, Fukui Prefecture, Japan, where each hole is fully separated from the next, giving every one its own distinct character. The greens are consistently kept fast, so careful putting is essential throughout the round. Flowering trees and fruit trees are planted across the layout, offering something different to appreciate in every season. Two holes stand out for their strategic depth. The par-3 8th features a pond short of the green that adds real pressure to the approach, while the 12th plays downhill with a pond and pine trees framed together to create a visually striking and tactically demanding challenge.
