Description
East Clare Golf Club occupies 150 acres of rolling countryside in County Clare, Ireland, with sweeping views across the region. Designed by Dr. Arthur Spring and opened in 1997, this par 71 championship layout stretches over 5,920 metres of fairways and sits just five minutes from Lough Derg and around 35 minutes from Shannon Airport. The course presents a varied challenge through strategically placed lakes, streams, bunkers, and trees. Wildlife is a genuine feature here — foxes are regularly spotted near the 4th and 8th tees, while swans inhabit the lakes. Islands have been created in the 2nd and 9th lakes to support nesting birds, an environmental commitment recognised when the club won the AIB Environmental Award for the Munster Region in 2003.
