Description
Don Herfort designed Eagle River Golf Course, which opened in 1923 and stands as one of the older public layouts in Eagle River, Wisconsin. The 18-hole course plays through wooded terrain with narrow forested fairways, prevalent water hazards, and strategically bunkered greens. The combination of tight tree lines and water throughout the routing demands accurate ball-striking from tee to green. Practice facilities include a grass tee driving range, a putting green, a short game area, and professional instruction from Anthony Sable, PGA. Sandbaggers Clubhouse is scheduled to open May 1, 2026.

Bob WiedenhoeftJuly 20, 2016They don't have any water on the course, and you have to go to the bar to refill your bottle (or pay the lady who drives around). I got dehydrated after the turn and played awful on the way in (I didn't realize water wasn't available).
