Hole 18 at Drentse Golfclub De Gelpenberg ends the round beside the largest natural bunker on the course, a sand dune that defines the character of this layout in Aalden, Drenthe, Netherlands. Designed by Frank Pennink and later revised by Donald Steel, the 18-hole, par-72 course opened in 1972 across heathland, forest, sand dunes, and a rolling landscape with water features throughout. It has hosted the ProGolfTour and holds a number 13 position in the Leading Courses ranking with a rating of 8.5. Hole19 golfers rate it 4.7, based on 50+ reviews. Access is semi-private. Practice facilities include a driving range with free balls, a chipping and putting green, and a Golf Academy offering private lessons, group lessons, clinics, and workshops led by PGA professionals. The clubhouse has an excellent restaurant.
