Dai-Hakata Country Club

Dai-Hakata Country Club is a 54-hole hillside course in Chikushi District, Fukuoka Prefecture, divided into three layouts: the Hinoki, Matsu, and Sugi courses. All three feature a two-green system with bent grass as the primary surface. Greens are large, heavily contoured, and surrounded by bunkers, demanding careful course management throughout. The Hinoki course is the longest of the three, with a flat front nine and a mildly undulating back nine. The Matsu course also plays long and runs largely flat. The Sugi course is shorter but compensates with water hazards and varied terrain that keep scoring honest. A standout hole on the Sugi course is the 9th, a short par four where a pond stretches from 200 metres off the tee all the way to the front of the green — making club selection and accuracy essential from the start.
