Criccieth Golf Club

Criccieth Golf Club has been part of this Welsh coastal town's identity since 1905, when it was founded with notable local support — among its founding members was Prime Minister David Lloyd George. He played regularly at Criccieth with locals, and on occasion brought distinguished company, including Winston Churchill and Andrew Bonar Law. The 18-hole course sits on elevated ground above the Cambrian Coast, offering panoramic views that have earned it a devoted following. Opera star Bryn Terfel named it among his favourite courses in the Wales Golf annual brochure, and it is easy to see why — the view from the 9th tee is widely regarded as one of the finest in Wales. Tranquillity and scenery define the experience here as much as the golf itself.
