Mike SpragueAugust 15, 2022Really nice 9 hole hill-side golf course in Brooks Maine with a really nice staff and friendly relaxed atmosphere. The greens are in pretty good shape with challenging breaks/slopes on several of them. Number 7 is a blind tee shot with an open approach to the green probably 80 feet lower than the tee; however if you hit a slice the left side of the fairway is protected by trees. Holes 1 and 7 will get your heart pumping if you walk, both are very steep fairways. 2 slopes severely to the right so it needs a left side tee shot. The course doesn’t require tee times so it’s easy to just drive up and play. We’re in a drought so the fairways are dry and hard, but the greens are nicely watered. I’ve hit some of my longest drives lately since the ball rolls forever, unlike the spring when you go as far as you fly it. I love playing Brooks when I’m in Maine for the summer and recommend it to players of all skill levels. Bottom line of the review: challenging and fun.
