Cooktown Golf Links

Cooktown Golf Links is an 18-hole course built on natural sand belt terrain in the tropical bushland bordering Walker Bay and the Annan River in Cooktown, Queensland. Situated beside Monkhouse Point with Mount Cook as a constant backdrop, this links-type layout offers a distinctive setting that draws golf adventurers and holiday makers. There is a practical challenge to go with the scenery: as the most northern golf course on the east coast of Australia, the course contends with a prevailing south-easterly wind of around 20 knots on most days. A modern irrigation system works alongside the natural wet season to keep tee boxes, fairways, and greens well presented throughout the year.
