Colonial Country Club (South)

Colonial Country Club (South) is a private 18-hole course in Memphis, Tennessee, opened in 1913. Fairways run between towering trees with elevation changes throughout the layout, while shimmering lakes come into play and Tiff Eagle Bermuda greens provide a consistent putting surface. Hole 5 carries a piece of history: President Gerald Ford made his famous hole-in-one here, a moment known as the Shot Heard Around the World. Golf Digest has ranked the course as high as #4 in Tennessee, and it is perennially ranked among the top-5 courses in the state. The 35,000 square-foot clubhouse includes multiple dining venues, a pro shop, a bar visible from the entry, a patio with four built-in fire pits, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and six tennis courts.
