Description
Cold Ashby Golf Centre, an 18-hole parkland course in England, United Kingdom, opened in 1974 across rolling, hilly countryside. The layout earns a rating of 4.4 by 80+ Hole19 golfers. Hole 3 is a par three from which at least three counties are visible, giving a clear sense of the elevation the course works with throughout its hills. Practice facilities include an eight-bay floodlit driving range with range markers and contactless ball dispenser, a putting green, and a short-game area with a large green, chipping area, and bunker. PGA professional Simon Williams runs tuition, with a Junior Academy launching in May 2026. The clubhouse bar opens onto an open-air balcony overlooking the 1st and 10th tees, and the kitchen serves bar food, breakfast, and meals. A well-stocked golf shop is staffed by Williams. The venue also holds the Safe Golf standard awarded by England Golf.

For a course with relatively few hazards the undulating topography keeps it interesting. If you miss your target spot then you might find your ball 10, 20 or even 30m down a slope.

Very nice course. Found it tough on certain holes(20 handicap). Extremely hilly so it is a hefty walk round. No 10 was a bit of a mud bath but the rest was in good condition given the time of year. One thing that was disappointing was the lack of Tea, soup, snacks etc after the first 9. You can sit in the cafe but nothing to take out.
