Club de Golf Tres Marías (El Reto)

Club de Golf Tres Marías (El Reto) is an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature course in Michoacán, Mexico, known as the "first golf stadium in the world" — a title earned by its dramatic elevation changes, which allow several holes to be seen simultaneously from different vantage points across the irregular terrain. Nicklaus gave each of the 18 holes a name drawn from one of his major championship victories, turning the round into a tour through his professional career. The course shares the property with a nine-hole Nicklaus Design layout called El Desafío, effectively creating two separate experiences on a single site. While a tournament is held on one course, members and visitors can play the other — a setup that keeps both tracks in near-constant use.
