The opening four holes at Club de Golf Ría de Vigo set the tone for the round. Hole 1 is a par 4 played from an elevated tee with the Ría de Vigo as a backdrop, defended by two bunkers. Hole 2 is a par 5 where a lake guards the green entrance, with a red-stake penalty area behind. Hole 3 stretches to nearly 200 metres, out of bounds right and a bunker on the right side of the green. Hole 4 brings the Muiños river into play at 165 metres, with a lake on the left beyond it and bunkers protecting the green. Designed by Ramón Espinosa and opened in 1993, the 18-hole, par-72 layout in Galicia, Spain incorporates six lakes, a river, and natural terrain throughout. It is rated 4.4 and is one of the most-played courses in Galicia on Hole19, with 70+ reviews. A practice area is available on site. The clubhouse includes Restaurante Hoyo 19, a restaurant with views of the Ría de Vigo through large windows and capacity for celebrations and events with an exclusive tent.
