Description
Cleethorpes Golf Club, founded in 1894 in Cleethorpes, England, is an 18-hole semi-private course playing to par 70 over 6,272 yards from the men's tees and 5,568 yards from the ladies' tees. The coastal layout shifts character with the conditions — rolls and bumps give it a links-like feel in dry weather, while wetter ground brings a parkland quality. That variety keeps the course playing differently across seasons. The clubhouse bar and restaurant serves home-cooked food with views over the course. The clubhouse and dining room are also available for private functions and venue hire.

Tom GreenMarch 30, 2026Impeccably manicured course. Dries very nicely despite clay due to the sea air. The best greens and fairways in northern Lincolnshire. It can be extremely windy as it is relatively unsheltered and barren in terms of trees. A true parkland-links hybrid. Members can be cliquey and standoffish but others are the friendliest around. First tee is something of a free-for-all, with queues even before the start of competitions. More of an ‘entitled’ old m-school members club with members expecting to rock up and play without booking (they attempt to control this through signage), and many expect to be let through even with just a few holes left, all because they are members and have bragging rights as they see it. Worth a trip for any golfer, but expect to be put under pressure if not at least bogeying every hole.
Liam GrayOctober 06, 2019Really nice an well maintained course and very forgiving for hookers an slicers of the ball. My favourite hole is the 12th par 4 dog leg left as its a risk vs reward hole, its reachable from the tee but you have a dyke at the top right of the green and a pond at the bottom left of the green and OB to the right of tee an a dyke left of the tee or you could just lay up.
