Chapman Golf Club

Chapman Golf Club has hosted the Dunlop Masters Tournament and stands as one of Harare's established layouts, rated 4.1 by 90+ Hole19 golfers. Designed by Peter Matkovich and opened in 1993, the 18-hole, par-72 course plays through desert style / bushveld terrain in Harare Province, Zimbabwe. Undulating manicured ground runs alongside a Mukuvisi River tributary, with water hazards and bunkers shaping play throughout the layout. Yardage stretches from 6,521 to 6,983 metres across the tees. Several holes sit close to water hazards, including the 6th, 9th, and 11th. The 14th, a par five, was re-shaped with two dams combined into one running the length of the fairway. The 17th, a par three, is flanked by 10-metre-wide bunkers running almost the full length of the green on both sides. The semi-private club includes a driving range with a raised teeing ground, purpose-built target greens, and floodlights, plus a short range with target greens up to 100 metres, a practice chipping green, a practice bunker, and individual and group lessons. The clubhouse features a horseshoe-shaped bar, a Freddie Arian lounge, function rooms, and an expanded pro shop.
