Cedar Knob Golf Course

Holes 10 and 18 at Cedar Knob Golf Course set the tone for what this Geoffrey Cornish design asks of a player: both bend right to left through stately evergreens and require a forced water carry either off the tee or on approach. The course, which opened in 1963, is an 18-hole public layout in Somers, Connecticut, and ranks as one of the most-played courses in Connecticut on Hole19. Water hazards, sand traps, and tall cedars appear throughout the routing. A driving range with instruction available and golf lesson packages — including Jr. Golf Camps for ages 8 to 15 — support players at the practice end. The Cedar Knob Restaurant & Banquets handles the 19th hole, with a bar and grill, a fully-stocked bar, a banquet room, and beer cart service on course. A Pro Shop is on site for bookings and membership inquiries.
