Cat Island Club is an 18-hole layout in the South Carolina Lowcountry, designed by George Cobb — the same architect behind Augusta National's celebrated par-3 course. Cobb shaped the course to work with the natural character of the South Carolina Sea Islands, and the land does most of the talking. Fairways run beneath canopies of moss-draped live oaks, marshes and rivers come into play on nearly every hole, and deer are a common sight along the way. A salty breeze off the water is a steady companion throughout the round. The course sits just minutes from filming locations for Forrest Gump, The Big Chill, and The Prince of Tides.
