Title: Stunning Course but Let Down by Poor On-Course Experience Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2 out of 5) We played Regnum Carya on 7th June 2025 as a group of 12 seasoned golfers and had high expectations — and to be fair, the course itself didn’t disappoint. It’s a beautifully maintained, very picturesque layout and offers a decent challenge with some particularly tricky holes that tested our abilities. Unfortunately, the overall experience was let down by some very poor on-course management. The Marshall was extremely overzealous, constantly chasing us around despite us often waiting on the group ahead or being delayed by groundskeepers mowing mid-round. He even positioned his buggy directly behind us on several shots, creating unnecessary pressure — not the kind of atmosphere you expect on a premium course. The beer buggy was another letdown. At €7 a beer, you’d at least expect it to be cold, but on the second visit — with 7 holes still to play in 37-degree heat — there were no cold ones available. Add to that the lack of drinking water around the course (only available at the start), and the experience turned from enjoyable to frustrating. Every other course we played this week had cold water stations every few holes — basic hospitality that was sorely missing here. Overall, while the course itself is undeniably impressive, the service and lack of basic amenities really soured the day. Regnum Carya won’t be making our list for a return visit.
