Cape Ann Golf Course, a public 9-hole layout in Essex, Massachusetts, was designed by Eugene "Skip" Wogan across terrain defined by salt marsh, the Essex River, and coastal water holes. Views extend across the Essex River and out to Crane Beach, and North Shore Golf Magazine has named it the most scenic nine in the area. Hole 4 is a dog leg left played atop a hill overlooking the Essex salt marshes, the Essex River, and Crane Beach — the standout vantage point on the course. The Fairway Pub serves lunch and dinner during the regular season following a recent interior update, and a pro shop is on site for membership information and event registration.
