Was unfortunately really disappointed with this course, I had heard good things about it, admittedly mostly from videos and reviews from a couple of years back. Firstly the practice green is pointless as it has 1cm long grass on it. I appreciate that the grass between tee and green should not be like a fairway given that every hole is a par 3, but given that it is a par 3 course I would expect greens and protecting bunkers to be a main focus of attention but the bunkers were like gravelly concrete and the greens were comparable to the pitch n putt at markeaton park. To make it worse the tee boxes are all overgrown, which is difficult when primarily hitting irons and wedges from low tees and the walk up each hole looked like the end of autumn with dead leaves from the trees everywhere (we played in July!). I didnt expect perfection for the price but for 3 quid more you can play 18 at the Branston Academy course which puts Broughton Heath to shame when comparing the conditions. In summary a real shame and needs serious attention.

Greens were in very poor condition. Patches of grass longer than my lawn, other patches of no grass, very hard ground, not a sprinkler in sight. The one positive were the staff, very friendly and attentive.
