Description
Bowring Park Golf Course is one of England's first municipal golf courses, set within the grounds of a leisure park in Liverpool donated to the city by the Bowring family in 1907. What began as a 9-hole layout in 1913 has since been extended to a full 18-hole parkland course. The course offers a well-balanced mix of par 3s and par 4s, suited to golfers of all abilities. One of its more distinctive features is that play crosses over the M62 motorway to reach part of the course — an unusual touch that adds character to the round. The motorway junction also makes it straightforward to reach from the surrounding area.
