Description
Blue Canyon Country Club (Canyon) is a demanding 18-hole layout in Sa Khu, Phuket, carved through the dramatic landscape of the region's tin-mining heritage. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and sharp dog-legs require accurate tee shots from the start. With 80 bunkers and water coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes, there is little room for loose shots. Tight landing zones and slick Bermuda Tifdwarf greens keep the pressure on throughout the round. The par 3s are a particular test. The 4th hole plays from an elevated tee some 40 metres above an island green, while the 200-yard 17th skirts the canyon edge to a sloping, partially hidden green — widely regarded as one of the finest par 3s in golf. Nick OtterApril 08, 2017OK the course is basically incredible but management sucks big time. As a member for 7 years they just increased fees by 300% with no explanation. The governor asked for a meeting they refused. Terrible but I still play it is so good. Greens very slow at the moment normally like lightening.
