Blackhawk Golf Club opened in 1964, located 22 miles north of downtown Columbus in Galena, Ohio. Founded on the vision of Herm Groezinger, who discovered the land and shaped the club's identity, the 18-hole course was designed by Jack Kidwell. Once nicknamed the 'Poor Man's Country Club,' Blackhawk has long held a commitment to excellence that shows in its day-to-day operations. Walk-mowing the greens is one example of the care the staff brings to the course. PGA Professionals Jack Groezinger — Herm's son — and Luke Bowersock are on site.
