Black Stone Golf & Resort Jeju

Black Stone Golf & Resort Jeju is a 27-hole course set in the mountainous interior of Jeju-si, Jeju-do, South Korea, at an average elevation of 250 metres amid the island's ancient gotjawal forest. Designed by Brian Costello of JMP Design Group, the layout preserves the original old-growth trees, giving the course a character reminiscent of long-established courses abroad. The East Course offers a layout where four holes can be taken in at a glance — a rare feature in South Korea. Moving into the South Course, the volcanic oreum hills create an ink-wash panorama, while the North Course frames a commanding view of Hallasan mountain. The resort is conceived as a high-quality family destination where golf sits alongside nature rather than against it, drawing on Jeju's landscape of historic oreum craters and primeval woodland.
